Through 9 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move southwest at 10 to 15 knots through the deep Gulf and distant Straits south of the Lower Keys. The strongest of the activity will produce heavy downpours reducing visibilities, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. $$
