.NOW...
Through 1 am, widely scattered showers and a few embedded
thunderstorms will dot the surrounding nearshore waters from the
Lower Keys to past the Dry Tortugas. In addition, broken lines of
showers and thunderstorms will remain nearly stationary over the
distant Florida Straits off of the Upper Keys. Finally, a line of
showers with embedded thunderstorms will move north at 10 to 15 knots
through the Straits of Florida south of the Middle Keys. The
stronger cells will produce wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, blinding
downpours, and occasional lightning strikes.
