Through 500 pm, scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm will drift south off the mainland, passing over eastern Florida Bay, Blackwater Sound, and bringing brief rainfall to a few locations in the upper Keys near Ocean Reef and Key Largo. The showers and thunderstorms will be preceded by a shift to northerly winds gusting to near 25 knots, and accompanied by brief downpours and possibly a few lightning strikes as they drift south around 10 knots. $$
