Through 11 am, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will
continue to move eastward at 5 to 10 knots across the forecast area,
occasionally cross the island chain. Mariners encountering this
activity can expect brief reductions in visibility in areas of heavy
downpours, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasional lightning
strikes. On land, island communities may pick up a quick tenth to a
quarter inch of rainfall with locally higher amounts to a half of an
inch.
