Through 1100 am, isolated showers and thunderstorms will drift to
the northwest to north at 5 to 10 knots across the western distant
Straits of Florida out to 60 nm, as well as the southeastern Gulf,
including in the vicinity of the Dry Tortugas. This activity will
generally wane. Mariners experiencing the strongest storms mainly
between S Tower and T Tower expect heavy downpours reducing
visibility, wind gusts near 20 knots, and a few cloud to surface
lighting strikes.
