Through 830 am, isolated showers with a few embedded thunderstorms
will wax and wane as they move east at near 10 knots through the
Straits of Florida, the Deep Gulf waters near P Tower, and the
nearshore Gulf waters near Horseshoe Key. Mariners encountering the
stronger portions of this activity can expect bouts of blinding
downpours, wind gusts up to 20 to 25 knots, and occasional lightning
strikes.
