Through 230 pm, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move generally westward at 10 to 15 knots across areas of the Florida Straits and the deep Gulf. The stronger portions of this activity located in the distant Straits will be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 25 to 30 knots, heavy downpours reducing visibility, and occasional surface lightning strikes. $$
