Through 130 AM, isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to wane across portions of the Lower and Middle Keys as well as the adjacent nearshore waters, and the southeastern Gulf in the vicinity of the Dry Tortugas. This activity will move generally to the southwest at near 10 knots. Mariners encountering the strongest waning storms, mainly between Pulaski Shoal and New Ground Rocks Light can expect brief heavy downpours reducing visibility, wind gusts near 20 knots, and a few cloud to surface lightning strikes. Over land, a few island communities between Big Pine Key and Marathon can expect up to one tenth of an inch of rainfall. $$
