Through 1 pm, scattered showers with embedded isolated thunderstorms
will move drift to the northeast and east at near 5 knots across
mainly the nearshore waters north of the Florida Keys and the western
Straits of Florida. The stronger of the activity is capable of
blinding downpours, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasional
lightning strikes. Select island communities in the Upper Keys may
receive an additional one to two tenths of rainfall accumulation.
