Mariners encountering the stronger activity northeast of Snipe Point can expect wind gusts near 25 knots, brief heavy downpours reducing visibility, and a rare cloud to surface lightning strike. A few island communities between Key West and Sugarloaf Key can expect up to a quick tenth to one quarter of an inch at rainfall. $$
