304 FNUS53 KLBF 070912 FWFLBF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western and North Central for Nebraska National Weather Service North Platte NE 412 AM CDT Tue Oct 7 2025 .DISCUSSION... Fire weather concerns remain low in the coming days. Temperatures will stay on the cooler side Tuesday with highs around 5-10F below normal before rebounding slightly for Wednesday. Temperatures will vary on Wednesday with low stratus holding temperatures back for areas east of Highway 61 while areas to the west should return to above normal values. Warmer temperatures arrive for all by the latter half of the week as upper-level ridging builds. Ridge axis will settle on the High Plains around Thursday/Friday. Behind a weak frontal boundary Thursday, humidity values could fall into the 15 to 25 percent range but marginal winds preclude greater concerns. Stronger winds arrive Saturday as ridge breakdown begins but concern is limited as an influx of tropical moisture from the Eastern Pacific should keep humidity levels from falling too far, even as highs peak around 80F.
