.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low over the next 7 days.

Temperatures remain +/- 5 degrees of climatology the next few days
before falling considerably for Saturday and Sunday where highs
will struggle to surpass the freezing mark. Strong southerly winds
Friday will be replaced by stronger northerly winds Saturday but
the threat of precipitation along with fairly high humidity
minimums will preclude greater concern. Overall, precipitation is
likely to be seen at all locations of west central Nebraska
through the weekend with most of it falling in the form of snow.
That said, water equivalent values will remain limited with the
best potential of seeing greater than a quarter inch of liquid
equivalent being east of Highway 183.
