.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions are expected to remain low over the next
several days across western and north central Nebraska.
Temperatures continue to remain cooler than average through most
of the week, with Monday and Tuesday expected to be the warmest
days. Even then, highs on Monday and Tuesday are expected to
remain slightly below seasonal highs. Additionally, showers and
thunderstorms this weekend may bring heavy rainfall across most of
the region. The greatest rainfall is expected across north
central Nebraska, where weekend accumulations may exceed one inch.
Amounts are expected to be less across the Panhandle, however, there
is potential for around a tenth to quarter inch of total rainfall
this weekend. This additional moisture may be sufficient to keep
afternoon humidity values above 35 percent through the week.
