.DISCUSSION...

Increasing fire concerns are expected towards the end of the week
as RH values fall back to near 20 percent, above normal
(potentially record breaking) temperatures return, and slightly
stronger wind gusts near 25 mph combine across northern and
portions of western Nebraska. Therefore, elevated to near-critical
fire conditions are expected on Friday. Beyond Friday,
temperatures drop back into the 60s for the weekend and while dry
conditions persist, afternoon RH values rise back to above 30
percent. The next potential for precipitation arrives early next
week bringing increased moisture to much of north central Nebraska
through the middle of the week.
