745 FNUS53 KLBF 140918 FWFLBF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western and North Central for Nebraska National Weather Service North Platte NE 418 AM CDT Sat Jun 14 2025 .DISCUSSION... Fire weather concerns remain low through the middle of next week as increased mugginess and recurring thunderstorm potential keeps conditions marginal. Rain and thunderstorms will favor the evening hours each day through Monday with wetting rains possible across the western zones (204, 206, 210). More expansive afternoon and evening thunderstorms appear likely Tuesday into Wednesday with fairly widespread wetting rains possible. Beyond mid-week, ridging will amplify across the Plains and lead to rapid warming towards the end of the forecast period. Daytime temperatures anomalies will range 5 to 15F above normal for late June. This may introduce some fire weather concerns during this time.
