.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns remain low over the next 7 days.
Temperatures remain cold today with falling values through the
daytime for much of western Nebraska and a stiff north wind. The
cold snap is short-lived with a return to seasonable values for
Thursday through Sunday. A weak system over the weekend may
produce some spotty precipitation but this is unlikely to be much
more than a few hundredths if measurable at all.
Early next work week will see much milder temperatures with
daytime highs returning to the 50s and making a run at 60F by
Tuesday. Even with these 5-15F above normal values, daytime
humidity minimums should fail to fall below 30 percent. anywhere
in the region. Further warming trends may introduce some more
elevated conditions but confidence at this time is limited.
