.DISCUSSION...
Upper level ridging builds in mid week into the weekend, bringing a
return of warmer and drier conditions. This may bring a return of
elevated fire weather conditions over the next few days. The
greatest potential for elevated conditions is expected on Thursday,
as afternoon humidity values fall around 20 to 25 percent across the
eastern Panhandle, with localized drops around 15 percent in
vicinity of Pine Ridge. However, westerly winds are expected to
remain less than 20 mph at this time. The rest of the period,
expecting that afternoon humidity values should remain above 30
percent, despite the warmer than seasonal temperatures. The upper
level ridging will also limit precipitation potential, with little
to no wetting precipitation expected through early next week.
