.DISCUSSION...

High temperatures remain above average through the end of the
week, with the warmest days expected Thursday and Friday. In fact,
some locations, particularly in northern Nebraska could break into
the low 90s Friday afternoon. These higher temperatures will be
accompanied by minimum humidity values dropping into the 20 to 30
percent range through the end of the week. However, wind gusts are
generally expected to remain under 25 mph, with little overlap of
lowest humidity values and stronger wind gusts.

By this weekend, chances of precipitation are expected as a cold
front pushes into the region. Winds may become very gusty ahead of
the front, with peak gusts on Saturday exceeding 30 mph, mostly
east of Highway 83. Behind the cold front, temperatures are
expected to cool off considerably, bringing below seasonal
temperatures early next week, with highs in the 60s Monday through
Wednesday.
