Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
247 AM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Conditions this morning will be quite windy, though as winds shift
from southerly to northwesterly behind a cold front gusty conditions
will diminish through this afternoon. Minimum humidity late today
will be 25 to 30 percent from around Hwy 61 westward.

Otherwise, fire weather concerns will remain low through the workweek
and into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will trend notably cooler
with potential for widespread wetting rainfall Wednesday into Thursday.
Warmth returns by the end of the week though there will be showers and
thunderstorms around each day and humidity is expected to remain above
critical levels through Sunday.
