.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns remain low through early this week as below
normal temperatures largely keep humidity at 40 percent or higher.
Precipitation chances, after early Sunday activity departs, return
Sunday night into Monday morning. While a few thunderstorms are
possible, only occasional lightning is expected. Rainfall amounts
appear limited as well, with only a few locations likely seeing
more than a tenth of an inch and most if not all locations falling
short of a quarter of an inch.
Temperatures rebound by the middle of the week as broad upper-
level ridging returns to the High Plains. The result will be
temperatures returning to the upper 70s and even some lower 80s.
These well-above normal temperatures, nearly 15F above normal
Thursday/Saturday/Sunday, will lead to some fire weather concerns
once again. For now, winds appear likely to remain marginal until
around Saturday/Sunday when ridge breakdown begins. This will be
the timeframe to watch for greater fire weather concern.
