Temperatures will reach the mid 80s across the western Sandhills this afternoon and again on Thursday. A few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon mainly near and east of Highway 83. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected Thursday afternoon across zone 204, where recent rainfall was missed. Northwest winds will gust up to 30 mph with afternoon humidity falling into the upper teens and lower 20s. Frequent cold fronts will keep high temperatures slightly below normal Wednesday, and again into the weekend.
