.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns remain low through the upcoming forecast
period, even with the expected above normal temperatures.
Daytime highs will favor the 70s and even 80s each day or at
least 5-10F above normal each day. The warmest days will be Monday
and Tuesday, where middle 80s are forecast for the western
Sandhills into the Panhandle. Despite these warmer temperatures,
humidity should remain at or above 25 percent most days with drier
air, potentially falling into the teens, limited to the central
and western Panhandle. Strong winds on Monday should remain east
of the dry air, limiting overall concern though gusts nearing 40
mph will still be possible.
Rainfall potential will be negligible through the upcoming week.
Ensemble guidance suggests less than 10 percent probabilities of
seeing measurable rainfall anywhere in the local area. A pattern
change next weekend may bring about an end of the warmer and drier
pattern, though precise details remain uncertain at this time.
