.DISCUSSION...

Near critical fire conditions will continue through early evening
as RH values drop to near 25 percent and west/southwest winds gust
up to 25 mph. Winds across Cherry county will diminish after
sunset and remain below 10 mph through the overnight. Northerly
winds will increase once again after sunrise Monday morning,
gusting up to 20 mph through the morning and early afternoon.
Humidity will begin to increase after sunset tonight, recovering
up to 80 to 90 percent by Monday morning. Increased moisture ahead
of the next system arriving Monday night will keep overall minimum
RH values in the afternoon around 30 percent. Thunderstorms and
showers return late Monday evening to northern Nebraska, but with
minimal QPF in this area (less than 0.10 inches), some concerns
for dry lightning will be possible.
