.DISCUSSION...
Hot temperatures continue through late afternoon with afternoon
humidity minimums bottoming out around 40 percent. Thunderstorms to
the west will threaten northwest Lincoln County later this evening.
Rainfall potential with this activity appears limited, likely less
than a quarter of an inch, with gusty erratic winds and cloud to
ground lightning the main concerns with this activity. Later
tonight, renewed thunderstorm development is likely across central
Nebraska but is unlikely to affect the fire location.
Winds will largely favor the east/southeast through this evening
becoming more variable by early morning Wednesday with speeds of
less than 10 mph. Lows tonight will fall to around the middle 60s
with great humidity recovery (85%+) expected. Similar if not
slightly cooler temperatures are likely Wednesday with highs in the
low to middle 90s. Winds will favor the southeast around 10 to 20
mph potentially gusting towards 25 mph in the afternoon. Humidity
minimums will only fall to around 40 to 45 percent during mid-
afternoon. Late afternoon and evening rain/thunderstorms will again
be possible from the west later in the day with similar measurable
rain potential though severe weather is not expected.
