This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are likely through much of the day Tuesday.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in two rounds: early this
morning with isolated large hail and gusty winds the main concerns
and again this afternoon into the evening with primarily a damaging
wind and heavy rain threat. The second round of severe weather is
conditional on recovery being morning thunderstorms so folks should
continue to monitor the forecast for the latest thinking.

Heavy rain appears likely across much of western Nebraska. Widespread
rain amounts exceeding a half inch are probable with locally heavier
amounts nearing two inches in spots possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Much hotter temperatures arrive by late week with forecast highs
climbing into the upper 90s to low 100s. Combined with the expected
humidity, heat indices appear likely to climb into the triple digits
for portions of southwest through central Nebraska.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed.
