This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Late this afternoon and Tonight.

Through late afternoon, elevated to near-critical fire weather
conditions across the northwest Sandhills and portions of north
central Nebraska. The concern is humidity minimums falling to the 15
to 20 percent range with gusts up to 25 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Critical fire weather conditions Saturday afternoon until mid evening
for all of western and north central Nebraska. The concern is
southerly winds 25 to 35 mph with gust to around 45 mph and afternoon
humidity humidity falling to as low as low as 18 to 25 percent. Any
fire start will have the potential for rapid spread and erratic
behavior.

Southerly winds gusting up to 45 mph, with locally higher gusts
possible, are likely Saturday leading to strong crosswind concerns
on east-west routes.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible late Saturday
afternoon but more likely Saturday evening for areas west of Highway
83. A few stronger storms are possible with the main concerns being
isolated damaging wind gusts.
