This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening,
focusing across the northwest Sandhills and north central Nebraska.
A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts and
large hail the main concerns.

The combination of afternoon highs climbing into the low to mid 90s
and increased low-level humidity will push heat index values into the
to to mid 90s this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon
and evening for much of the Sandhills into north central Nebraska.
Storms could again become strong to severe with damaging winds and
large hail the main concerns.

The combination of afternoon highs climbing into the mid and upper
90s and increased low-level humidity will push heat index values
into the mid to upper 90s Saturday afternoon.

Daily chances for thunderstorms exist Sunday through Thursday next
week.

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening, mainly
across north central Nebraska.
