This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Scattered to widespread rain and embedded thunderstorms continue for
areas east of Highway 83. Severe weather is not expected, however,
brief moderate rainfall and occasional cloud to ground lightning is
possible.

Later this afternoon and evening, renewed thunderstorm development is
expected along the frontal boundary near a Ogallala to Valentine
line. A few storms could be briefly severe with up to one inch hail
and heavy rain the main concerns. The threat for severe will favor
the first few hours after storm development with the threat largely
over by 9-10pm CDT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Sunday morning lows falling to the low 30s will likely lead to
favorable conditions for widespread frost. Stay tuned to later
forecasts for up-to-date information regarding this threat.

Spotter activation is unlikely, however, severe weather reports
relayed to the NWS North Platte office is appreciated.
