...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ FRIDAY TO
MIDNIGHT CDT /11 PM MDT/ SATURDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, southwest, and west
  central Nebraska.

* WHEN...From 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ Friday to midnight CDT /11 PM
  MDT/ Saturday Night.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures Friday night will remain mild
  with lows only falling into the low to middle 70s. Even warmer
  temperatures are expected Saturday night as lows remain in the
  middle to upper 70s across the Advisory area. This will limit
  relief for many who lack adequate shelter.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
