Platte and Valentine...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature in December was
34.6 degrees, or 7.1 degrees above the normal of 27.5 degrees. The
average daily high temperature for the month was 50.4 degrees which
was 8.4 degrees above the normal of 42.0 degrees. The average daily
low temperature for December was 18.8 degrees which was 5.7 degrees
above the normal 13.1 degrees. One daily temperature record was set
during the month of December for North Platte. On the 22nd, the high
temperature in North Platte reached 71 degrees. This broke the
record high temperature of 69 degrees set previously in 1933.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature in December was
30.9 degrees, or 4.6 degrees above the normal of 26.3 degrees. The
average daily high temperature for month was 45.5 degrees which was
6.1 degrees above the normal of 39.4 degrees. The average daily low
temperature for the month was 16.4 degrees which was 3.3 degrees
above the normal of 13.1 degrees. At Valentine no temperature
records were broken in December.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for December
totaled 0.01 inch which was 0.44 inches below the normal of 0.45
inches. A trace of snow fell that is 4.5 inches below the normal of 4.5
inches. No daily precipitation records were set during the month of
December for North Platte.

At Miller Field in Valentine, precipitation for December totaled
0.16 inches which was 0.27 inches below the normal of 0.43 inches.
Snowfall for the month totaled 1.5 inches which was 3.5 inches below
the normal of 5.0 inches. No daily precipitation records were set
during the month of December for Valentine.
