.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Wednesday night)
Issued at 146 AM CST Mon Nov 3 2025

High pressure is centered over the mid-Mississippi Valley and
stretches from the gulf coast to the Great Lakes. Aloft an upper
trough is departing while a ridge builds in. The flow between these
systems is northerly and dry.

Cool and dry conditions will exist Monday across the region as the
flow remains generally north. High pressure at the surface will
shift to the Atlantic coast by Tuesday turning the flow back
onshore. Rain chances will remain nil as high pressure builds aloft
and PWATs stay less than 0.5".

A short wave will move across the northern plains and Great Lakes
region eroding the upper ridge across the deep south Wednesday. The
onshore flow will serve to increase temps and moisture ahead of a
cold front that will stall across OK and AR.
&&

.LONG TERM...
(Thursday through Monday)
Issued at 146 AM CST Mon Nov 3 2025

Thursday moisture will gradually lift north across the gulf ahead of
low pressure in the central plains, however shower activity is not
forecast to increase until Friday when the next frontal boundary
enters the area. PWATs will remain fairly low with values around
1.25" limiting convection. Temperatures will decrease once again
during the second half of weekend.
