819 FZUS54 KLCH 041705 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 1205 PM CDT Thu Sep 4 2025 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-050600- 1205 PM CDT Thu Sep 4 2025 .Synopsis for Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 NM including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays... Weak high pressure across the northern Gulf will allow for mainly light southerly winds and low seas for the remainder of the week. A few thunderstorms will continue across the coastal waters this afternoon in the vicinity of a weak boundary. These should dissipate this evening with no precipitation expected Friday. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase over the weekend into early next week as a frontal system moves into the coastal waters.
