...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING
FOR SOUTHEASTERN ST. LANDRY AND NORTHWESTERN ST. MARTIN PARISHES...

At 757 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding due to
earlier thunderstorms in Cecilia, Henderson and Breaux Bridge.
Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will
continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Breaux Bridge, Arnaudville, Henderson, Cecilia, Atchafalaya
  Welcome Center and Parks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
