Rating: EF-0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.08 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 10/26/2025 Start Time: 11:45 PM CDT Start Location: 2 E Sulphur / Calcasieu Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 30.21704 / -93.34281 End Date: 10/26/2025 End Time: 11:48 PM CDT End Location: 4 SW Westlake / Calcasieu Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 30.22185 / -93.30852 Survey Summary: The National Weather Service storm survey confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down near the intersection of Palermo Drive and Evangeline Street in Sulphur. The tornado then tracked across McMurry Park and into the Maplewood Neighborhood. Several homes in the area sustained minor damage, including damage to roofs, awnings, and fences. There was also tree damage, and a few power lines were pulled from their poles. The tornado continued over Lowe`s before crossing I-10 and dissipating near the intersection of Pete Manena Road and Bayou D`Inde Road. Tree damage was also observed along I-10 where the tornado crossed the interstate. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
