SOUTH CENTRAL NEWTON AND NORTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 700 AM
CDT...

At 602 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Longville to near Deweyville. Movement was
southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Westlake, Vinton, Reeves, Singer,
Deweyville, Moss Bluff, De Quincy, Ragley, Lake Charles Regional
Airport, Starks, Fields, Lunita, Topsy, Hartburg, Toomey, Lebleu
Settlement, and Gillis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
