108 FZUS61 KCLE 081946 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 346 PM EDT Wed Oct 8 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A ridge averaging 30.50 inches affects Lake Erie through this Thursday as the embedded high pressure center moves from the northern Great Lakes to central New York. As the high pressure center drifts farther eastward Thursday night, a warm front will sweep northward across Lake Erie. Behind the front, a ridge averaging 30.40 inches should build from the southern Appalachians through Friday night. On Saturday through Sunday, a very weak cold front should sweep eastward across Lake Erie. A low of 30.10 inches should form along the front and move generally northward across Lake Erie and vicinity during the same time period. Behind the front, another ridge averaging 30.20 inches should build from the western Great Lakes through this Monday.
