Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
A stationary front will settle south and stall across Lake
Erie into tonight. Low pressure of 29.40 inches will move
northeast across southern Lake Huron on Wednesday, lifting a warm
front north followed by a cold sweeping east Wednesday afternoon.
A ridge averaging 30.20 inches will build into the area on
Thursday, followed by a stronger low pressure system of 29.40
inches moving east through the Great Lakes on Friday. High
pressure 30.10 inches returns Saturday.

showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms early, then a
chance of showers and thunderstorms late this evening. Showers
with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Waves 2 feet or
less.
.WEDNESDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west 15 to
20 knots. Showers with a chance of thunderstorms through early
afternoon, then showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms
late. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northwest.
A chance of rain showers in the evening. Waves 2 to 4 feet.
.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet subsiding to 1 foot or less.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots. A chance of rain showers overnight. Waves 2 feet or
less building to 2 to 4 feet.
