726 FZUS61 KCLE 180115 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 915 PM EDT Fri Oct 17 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.10 inches is located over the east coast and will build off the coast through this evening as a warm front moves to the north of the lake. Low pressure will track out of the Mid-Mississippi Valley and deepen to 29.20 inches over lower Michigan on Sunday, bringing a strong cold front across the lake. A ridge averaging 30.10 inches will briefly build south of the Ohio Valley on Monday. Low pressure of 29.50 inches will quickly track east across the Upper Great Lakes on Tuesday.
