873 FZUS61 KCLE 200140 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 940 PM EDT Sat Sep 19 2026 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A warm front will remain near Lake Erie through Sunday. A low pressure system 29.90 inches will move along the boundary on Sunday and will pull the front south as a cold front for Sunday night. The lake will then remain between cool high pressure 30.40 inches to the north and a trough averaging 29.90 inches over the Ohio Valley through the middle of the week.
