For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Canadian wildfire smoke persists today amidst high
pressure influence. The next weak low pressure systems arrive
Friday bringing a round of showers and thunderstorms late in the
day and overnight. This will be followed by a secondary low on
Saturday tracking across The Straits into northern Lake Huron with
additional unsettled weather.

...DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

.TODAY...Light and variable winds becoming southeast 5 to
10 knots in the afternoon. Areas of smoke in the morning. Patchy
smoke in the afternoon. A chance of showers in the afternoon.
Waves 2 feet or less.
.TONIGHT...East winds 10 to 15 knots veering to the southeast
after midnight...then becoming south 15 to 20 knots early in the
morning. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening...
then showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms after midnight.
Areas of smoke. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet early
in the morning.
.SATURDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots veering to the
northwest in the late morning and afternoon. Gusts to 30 knots.
Showers in the morning. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally
around 8 feet.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Waves 4 to
6 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet after midnight. Waves
occasionally around 8 feet.
.SUNDAY...North winds 5 to 10 knots in the morning becoming light
and variable...then becoming southwest 5 to 10 knots late in the
afternoon. Waves 2 feet or less.
.MONDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southwest 15 to
20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots by midnight. A chance of
showers early in the morning. Rain showers and a chance of
thunderstorms . Waves 2 to 4 feet building to 4 to 6 feet. Waves
occasionally around 8 feet.
.TUESDAY...Southwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to around
30 knots becoming northwest to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knot
gales. A chance of thunderstorms early in the morning. Waves 6 to
9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.

afternoon veering to the south. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to
1 to 3 feet.
.MONDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots
with gusts to around 30 knots. Showers and a chance of
thunderstorms . Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 4 to 6 feet. Waves
occasionally around 8 feet.
.TUESDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest
20 to 25 knots early in the evening...then increasing to 30 knots
by midnight. Gusts to 35 knot gales. Showers likely and a chance
of thunderstorms early in the morning...then a chance of showers
