For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...As a cold front exits the central Great Lakes,
northwest wind gusts increase to 35 knot gales across the north
half of Lake Huron this morning. These winds quickly diminish by
this evening as a ridge of high pressure, 30.20 inches, moves
into the region.

.REST OF TODAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to
35 knot gales. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves occasionally around
15 feet.
.TONIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots late in the evening...then becoming southwest 5 to
10 knots after midnight. Waves 6 to 9 feet subsiding to 2 to
4 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.MONDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then
decreasing to 10 to 15 knots early in the afternoon. Waves 2 to
4 feet building to 4 to 6 feet in the late morning and afternoon.
Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
.MONDAY NIGHT...South winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots in the late evening and overnight. A chance of rain.
Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.TUESDAY...South winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots
late in the evening. Rain likely...then a chance of rain late in
the afternoon. Rain likely late in the evening. Waves 2 to 4 feet
subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...South winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southwest to
30 knots with gusts to 40 knot gales in the late morning and
early afternoon...then becoming west at 35 knot gales with gusts
to 40 knot gales until early morning. Rain likely early in the
morning. Snow. Waves 6 to 9 feet building to 12 to 16 feet. Waves
occasionally around 20 feet. A gale warning may be needed.
.THURSDAY...West at 35 knot gales decreasing to 30 knots in the
late morning and early afternoon...then becoming northwest at
35 knot gales early in the evening decreasing to 30 knots in the
late evening and early morning. Snow likely...then a chance of
snow in the late evening and early morning. Waves 12 to 16 feet.
Waves occasionally around 20 feet.
