For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Increasing southwest winds today ahead of a cold
front, which tracks through the Great Lakes on Wednesday. Brief,
localized gusts to gales are possible this evening, but
especially Wednesday and Wednesday night over the open waters of
Lake Huron.

.TONIGHT...South winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southwest 10 to
15 knots after midnight...then becoming west 15 to 20 knots early
in the morning. Rain and snow in the evening...then rain after
midnight. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...West winds 15 to 20 knots increasing to 30 knots
with a few gusts to 35 knot gales. A chance of rain in the
morning... then rain in the afternoon. Waves 4 to 6 feet building
to 8 to 12 feet in the afternoon. Waves occasionally around 15
feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...West winds to 30 knots decreasing to 20 to
25 knots in the late evening and overnight. Rain in the evening...
then a chance of rain after midnight. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves
occasionally around 15 feet.
.THURSDAY...West winds 20 to 25 knots. Gusts to 30 knots in the
late morning and afternoon. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally
around 12 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest
5 to 10 knots. Waves 4 to 6 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet after
midnight. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
.FRIDAY...North winds 5 to 10 knots veering to the east late in
the afternoon...then becoming southeast 10 to 15 knots late in
the evening. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.SATURDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots. A chance of rain in the late morning and early
afternoon. Rain until early morning. Waves 3 to 5 feet building
to 5 to 7 feet until early morning. Waves occasionally around
10 feet.
.SUNDAY...West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest 20 to
25 knots with gusts to 35 knot gales in the late morning and
early afternoon...then increasing to 30 knots with gusts to
35 knot gales early in the evening decreasing to 20 to 25 knots
with gusts to around 30 knots in the late evening and early
morning. Rain likely early in the morning...then a chance of
rain. A chance of snow until early morning. Waves 5 to 7 feet.
Waves occasionally around 10 feet.

gales increasing to 30 knots with a few gusts to 35 knot gales
late in the afternoon. A chance of rain in the morning...then rain
in the afternoon. Waves 6 to 9 feet building to 10 to 14 feet
late in the afternoon. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
