936 WHUS44 KLIX 061546 CFWLIX Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service New Orleans LA 1046 AM CDT Sat Jun 6 2026 LAZ058-082-084-098-070600- /O.NEW.KLIX.CF.Y.0004.260606T1546Z-260607T1500Z/ St. John The Baptist-Lower Tangipahoa-Southern Livingston- Upper St. Charles- 1046 AM CDT Sat Jun 6 2026 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Minor coastal flooding around Lake Maurepas and the western sides of Lake Pontchartrain. * WHERE...St. John The Baptist, Lower Tangipahoa, Southern Livingston and Upper St. Charles Parishes. * WHEN...Until 10 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...After multiple days of strong easterly to east-southeasterly winds water has surged into the tidal lakes and piled up on the western side. Impacts are minimal but will continue for at least 24 hours until the water can finally start to drain out through the Rigolets. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && $$
