017 WGUS84 KLIX 291752 FLSLIX Flood Advisory National Weather Service New Orleans LA 1252 PM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025 LAC033-063-121-291945- /O.NEW.KLIX.FA.Y.0115.250829T1752Z-250829T1945Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ East Baton Rouge LA-Livingston LA-West Baton Rouge LA- 1252 PM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, East Baton Rouge, Livingston and West Baton Rouge. * WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1252 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Baton Rouge, Baker, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, Merrydale, Westminster, Inniswold, Brownfields, Gardere, Village St. George, Shenandoah, Old Jefferson and Baton Rouge Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
