Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
633 AM CST Sun Nov 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure centered just to the east will remain in place
through the start of the new workweek. Surface winds will remain
from a southerly direction, which is helping more low level
moisture to filter into the region from the Gulf, albeit gradual.
Relative humidity values will remain elevated through the
weekend. These higher RH values and light surface flow will limit
fire weather concerns from that stand point as min RH`s should be
around 50%. Conditions once again look favorable for areas of fog
to develop tonight, though less coverage than Friday night. In
patchy areas this fog could be moderate to dense toward sunrise
over portions of Southern Mississippi Southeast Louisiana. It
should be noted that superfog is possible in any areas that fog
does develop.
