Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
122 AM CDT Sun Jun 7 2026

.DISCUSSION...

High moisture content will remain through Monday with only a few
points shaved off dew pt numbers starting Tuesday. This will help
bring daytime RH values into the mid 50s over the norther third
of the area and 60s and lower 70% range closer to the coast.
Winds will be much weaker over the next several days than they
have been lately. The high moisture, wet fuels and very low wind
speeds will continue to alleviate any critical fire weather
concerns through the week.
