Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1227 PM CDT Fri Aug 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Moisture is returning to the area, with high rain chances over
the next couple days. Afternoon minimum relative humidities will
be greater than 60 percent today and Saturday. Much of the area
could see 1 to 2 inch rain amounts between now and the end of the
weekend, with locally higher amounts. Winds are expected to
remain below 15 mph outside of thunderstorms, which will limit
any fire weather concerns.
