Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1126 AM CST Tue Nov 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...

This afternoon, minimum relative humidity values will again drop
to as low as 30 percent, perhaps even in the upper 20 percent
range across interior south Mississippi. For locations along and
south of the I10/12 corridor expect minimum humidity values to
remain at or above 40 percent. Despite the low RH values,
critical fire weather concerns will be limited thanks to
lackluster winds. As high pressure slips east of the region
through midweek, moisture will gradually return through the
weekend. An isolated shower may be possible later in the week,
but largely most of the region should remain dry.
