Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1236 AM CDT Sun Sep 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A progressively drier airmass will move into the region Sunday
into Monday. The driest period is primarily expected during the
late morning through early evening hours on Monday, where minRH`s
will range in the 40`s to 30`s. Driest locations will include SW
MS and the interior SE MS coastline where low 30% RH`s can be
expected along with a light NE breeze, which will disrupt any
production of lake/seabreeze development. Winds diminish and
moisture returns back to the region beginning Tuesday and
continuing through late week.
