Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
526 PM CDT Sun Aug 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...

With a front continuing to drift offshore, rain chances drop off
today and Monday for areas north of the I-10 corridor. Afternoon
RH values will be in the 50-60 percent range today and in the
40-50 percent range tomorrow north of the I-10/12 corridor as
drier air continues to filter into the area. South of there, RH
will be in the 60-65 range both days. Outside of any convection,
winds will generally be light under 15 mph, keeping fire weather
concerns low.
